Job summary

Cornerstone Building Brands is seeking a Welder/Fabricator to join our structural welding team in Allport, PA. You will help build frames for customer buildings by interpreting blueprints and following welding procedures to meet quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 2 years of welding/fabricating experience, a high school diploma, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. This full-time role offers overtime potential and benefits starting day one.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate/ GED required.
• 2 years welding/fabricating experience.
• Welding certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to work with precision and control to avoid damage.
• Attention and care are required to prevent injury to self or others.
• Ability to stand, bend, and lift for long periods.
• Agreement to wear protective equipment for exposure to glare, burn, and shrapnel.
• Ability to perform in adverse environments regarding temperature, hot/cold.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly.

Responsibilities

• Joins, fabricates, and repairs metal by applying welding techniques.
• Interprets blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to determine welding process.
• Receives job duties from production lead/supervisor.
• Follow work procedures and material requirements.
• Set up welding equipment.
• Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
• Fabricate metal building and metal roofing components.
• Use a rod or wire and heat to join metals.
• Use a plasma torch, grinding wheel, band saw or other instrument for cutting metal.
• Ensure welds meet standards and specifications.
• Other projects and responsibilities may be added at the company’s discretion.
• Other jobs/duties as directed
