Job summary

Midwest Refrigerated Services, Inc. is seeking a 1st Shift Warehouse Supervisor in Cedar Rapids, IA. This full-time, on-site role leads a team of 5+ in a busy warehouse, ensuring safety, sanitation, and efficient operations. Mon-Fri, 5:30AM–2:30PM, with 4% 401k match and comprehensive benefits.

The supervisor will manage day or night teams, enforce SOPs, and coordinate with drivers and customers to maintain workflow and performance metrics.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience operating forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Prior leadership experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
• Familiarity with RF-controlled inventory systems.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and support to shipping office personnel.
• Ensure compliance with MRS policies and SOPs.
• Address and resolve issues involving customers, carriers, and drivers.
• Oversee Over, Short, and Damaged (OS&D) claims.
• Maintain accurate documentation for accessorial charges.
• Oversee employee performance and administer disciplinary actions as needed.
• Monitor operations to ensure alignment with benchmarking standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system-related issues.
• Contribute to hiring and staffing decisions through feedback and recommendations.
