Job summary

RTP Company in Indianapolis/Indiana is seeking a Shipping and Receiving associate to weigh and package materials in the production area, load and unload trucks, label stock, and process freight paperwork. The role requires attention to detail, safe work practices, and willingness to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities include material handling, inventory clerical tasks, verifying orders, and ensuring correct labeling and packing for shipments.

Qualifications

• Must read and follow manuals and procedures.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced, high-speed environment.
• Must be able to pass forklift test.
• Must be able to pass a respirator fit test.
• Must have basic computer skills.
• Must be able to maintain a clean and safe workspace.
• Must be dependable with excellent attendance.
• Overtime may be required.

Responsibilities

• Document/incoming raw material information.
• Load, unload, and pick materials as needed.
• Operate heavy material handling equipment.
• Move materials to/from storage facilities.
• Inspect materials for damage.
• Label and package merchandise for shipment.
• Ensure shipments are properly labeled and packed.
• Obtain required documentation for each order.
• Assist with production and weighing activities.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area.
