Job summary

Daniels Health is seeking a Transportation Supervisor to manage logistics and support frontline healthcare workers from our Salt Lake City, Utah plant. This first-shift role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and reliable operations.

You will oversee daily routing, driver performance, vehicle maintenance, and coordination between plant operations, sales and field service teams, while upholding DOT compliance and cost controls.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a management or supervisory role.
• Clean 10-year DMV record (dated within the last 30 days).
• Valid DOT medical certificate (or ability to obtain one).
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, log books, and safe cargo handling practice.
• Ability to work weekends, holidays, or flex hours based on operational needs.
• Must be able to reliably commute to our Salt Lake City, Utah plant.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily pre-departure support including truck loading, manifest checks, transporter quality checks, and weekly tailgate safety meetings
• Monitor and support driver routing to maximize productivity and address any route-related issues
• Maintain strong communication between plant operations, sales, and field service teams
• Conduct daily route debriefs to resolve service issues and improve customer satisfaction
• Manage driver performance, conduct evaluations, and support ongoing development
• Coordinate vehicle maintenance and resolve equipment issues to ensure optimal performance
• Ensure driver compliance with safety regulations and perform quality checks on all loaded/unloaded products
• Control operational costs by managing headcount, limiting overtime, and optimizing driver performance
