Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Home Building Team Member to perform manufacturing production operations in the home building process. The role follows standard production methods and safety practices to ensure work is efficient and safe.

You will contribute to quality and meet daily productivity goals in a team environment. You may be asked to read architectural and engineering drawings, move materials, and assist with equipment maintenance.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School diploma or GED.
• Clear and effective communication is required.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing OSHA regulations.
• Work in a team environment to produce products that meet quality standards and productivity targets.
• Protect company assets, maintain clean and orderly work areas, and report maintenance needs.
• Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan manufacturing activities and communicate material shortages or quality issues.

Duties / Responsibilities

• Practice safe work habits to ensure production is efficient and safe while observing all relevant OSHA regulations.
• Work in a team environment to product products that conform to our quality standards while achieving our productivity objectives.
• Serve as a good steward of our company’s physical assets, protecting them from damage and misuse, reporting all needed maintenance, keeping assigned areas clean and orderly.
• Assist Team Leader and Area Coordinator to plan and organize the manufacturing activities in your area by communicating anticipated material shortages, identifying required tool maintenance, and communicating any quality and productivity issues.
• Perform other duties assigned.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred
• Versatility and willingness to transfer into various departments when necessary.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings greatly desired.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to walk, climb, and lift at least 50 pounds, as well as other physical duties needed.
