Job summary

NSG, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Security Officer for the Clifton facility on 1st shift. You will patrol, monitor entrances, and maintain a visible, reassuring presence to deter security threats.

This role requires alertness, prompt reporting, and professional interaction with staff and visitors. Daily responsibilities include walking rounds, responding to incidents, and coordinating with NSG leadership. The position offers a 40-hour work week, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to obtain Ohio security license.
• Successful completion of pre-employment drug screen.
• Pass background check.
• Excellent observational and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled walking rounds of the facilities, inside and out.
• Monitor entrances/exits, observe visitors, and deter threats.
• Contact law enforcement or fire department as needed and report incidents.
• De-escalate conflicts using verbal techniques and crisis management.
• After hours, check doors, windows, and gates to ensure security.
• Report suspicious activity to NSG leadership and property owners.
• Escort discharged staff or unauthorized persons off premises.
• Provide a visible, reassuring presence and perform related duties.
