Job summary

Meijer is seeking a QA Tech II for 1st shift at the Middlebury Manufacturing Complex in Indiana. You will organize, execute, and monitor quality and food safety activities to ensure raw materials, packaging, and finished goods meet specifications and regulatory requirements.

You will support HACCP, SQF, GMP programs, conduct training, assist audits, and provide technical production support during trials. Strong data analysis and communication skills are essential; a four-year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in Food Science, Science or related discipline preferred.
• One-year experience in a Food Manufacturing environment.
• General knowledge/training in Food Safety, HACCP, SQF preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to analyze data and information and make effective and timely decisions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail oriented, organized, reliable and resourceful.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Organize, execute and monitor quality and food safety activities for the facility.
• Assist in development and administration of quality and food safety policies and procedures.
• Provide technical production assistance during trials and with GMPs, sanitation, and ingredients.
• Lead in the evaluation of consumer complaints and corrective actions.
• Support HACCP program maintenance and third-party audits.
