Job summary

Fortress Nutrition, LLC is seeking a detail-driven Quality Technician to support our high-speed beverage canning operations. You will perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure food safety and compliance.

In this role you will collect samples for third-party testing, calibrate instruments, document results in real time, and assist with audits. The shift offers a 4-day schedule with optional overtime and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a Quality Control role (food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or similar preferred).
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
• Must operate with a high sense of urgency and accuracy with real-time testing and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process, and finished goods.
• Collect and prepare samples for third-party laboratory testing.
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory instrumentation (pH meters, titrators, Brix/density tools).
• Communicate quality data and provide guidance to production teams.
• Complete all documentation (MMRs, logs, test records) accurately and in real time following Good Documentation Practices.
• Support audits from regulatory and third-party organizations.
• Conduct environmental monitoring and testing programs.
• Assist with calibration programs and customer complaint investigations.
• Cross-train to ensure full quality coverage across operations.
• Follow and enforce all GMPs, food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Support operations through flexibility and overtime as needed.
