Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Quality Inspector for our Mansfield, OH facility. You will ensure supplier parts and in-house produced parts meet drawings and specifications, calibrate instruments, and maintain inspection records.

You will handle material flow, use cranes and forklifts, and support a quality-focused production environment. You will work 1st shift, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with responsibilities ranging from sample inspections to non-conforming material processing.

Qualifications

• Minimum education, high school diploma.
• 3 years machining experience or 5 years of inspection experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Must have minimum 3 years’ experience reading engineering drawings.
• Must have 1-2 years’ experience with CMM, FARO Arm or Keyence measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

• Do sample inspections on machined/fabricated parts to latest drawing and C=O (2.5) sampling plan.
• Perform 1st piece inspections as required.
• Process all non-conforming material per procedure.
• Calibrate and maintain all precision measuring instruments.
• Enter all packing slips and work orders into the system.
• Stamp all packing slips and work orders “Accept or Reject” as applicable.
• Tag all acceptable parts/material with green accept tag.
• Make sure that all accepted material goes to the proper department.
• Monitor customer supplied material.
• Move material throughout the facility using cranes, forklifts, and handcarts.
