Job summary

Smurfit Westrock is seeking a 1st Shift Quality Control Associate to inspect incoming materials, audit in-process and finished goods, and ensure compliance with quality standards and customer requirements. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and offers overtime on weekdays and weekends with a pay rate of $18.00 per hour.

The successful candidate will verify GMP and SOP compliance, release production paperwork, and contribute to internal QA and regulatory audits while helping maintain

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures.
• 2+ years of quality role experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect incoming materials to ensure conformance with specs and release to production.
• Audit assembly lines during production to ensure compliance with work orders and customer requirements.
• Verify compliance with cGMPs and SOPs.
• Review, approve and release production paperwork for customer shipments.
• Record data for internal analysis of finished goods and communicate issues to operations.
• Participate in internal QA audits, customer audits, and regulatory agency audits as needed.
• Assist with cGMP training and maintain safety and cleanliness of equipment and area.
