Job summary

FPL Food, LLC in Thomasville, GA is seeking a Production Supervisor for first shift (5:30 AM-3:30 PM or end of production) with occasional weekends. The role oversees shift operations, ensures safety, and coaches staff to meet quality and efficiency standards.

Required are 2 years of supervisory manufacturing experience; a related degree or substitute for leadership; and strong leadership, communication, and safety knowledge. Kronos timekeeping experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment with responsibility of monitoring employee time in Kronos or similar timekeeping system.
• Bachelor's degree and leadership experience while in college may substitute for the two years supervisory experience.
• Must demonstrate recognized leadership ability and strong interpersonal skills; excellent communication, written and oral, and customer service relationship skills; working knowledge of environmental and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversees assigned processing activities in line with quality standards and regulations.
• Train and coach employees to follow SOPs safely and consistently.
• Maintain manpower documentation and attendance records daily.
• Maintain flow of materials to maximize efficiency, quality and throughput; investigate production problems.
• Ensure compliance with plant policies, procedures and safety standards; coordinate with HR on policies.
• Maintain a safe, clean work environment and support safety audits with the department.
• Lead or participate in process improvement using Six Sigma and project management.
