Job summary

API Heat Transfer in Buffalo, NY is hiring a Preventative Maintenance Technician (First Shift) to inspect and maintain a wide range of production and building equipment. The role supports ongoing Lean Cultural Change and offers career development within a multi-site, global operation.

The candidate should have a High School diploma or equivalent and manufacturing experience, with the ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights. A comprehensive benefits package and PTO are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Some manufacturing experience is required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights.
• Must have standard hand tools (wrenches, sockets, pliers, hammers, screwdrivers).

Responsibilities

• Performs inspections and preventative maintenance on building and production machinery and equipment, including compressors, pumps, motors, gear drives, welders, cranes, lathes, grinders, conveyors, and more.
• Performs minor repairs such as replacing bulbs, cleaning filters, adding grease/oil, and repairing electrical cords and air/gas lines.
• Conducts operational checks on equipment (excluding CNC, welders, burn tables, and shot blasters unless knowledge exists).
• Performs snow plowing/removal and salts/de-ices parking lots and sidewalks as needed.
• Supports other Maintenance Department tasks and can cover vacations or absences.
