Job summary

Holt Technical Staffing has a client in St. Petersburg seeking an experienced machine operator for a full-time, first-shift position. The role involves setting up machinery to cut flexible shafts, using hydraulic presses to attach fittings, and inspecting products with precision tools.

Strong attention to detail and basic math/computer skills are required. Minimum 2 years of mechanical assembly experience and ability to read blueprints are preferred. HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years mechanical assembly experience.
• High school diploma/GED required or equivalent.
• Great communication skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints desired.
• Basic math and computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Set up production machinery to cut flexible shaft.
• Inspecting products using variety of tools (micrometer and calipers).
• Read and interpret technical blueprints to produce complex components.
• Use small hydraulic presses to attach metal fittings to shaft.
• Maintain work area and equipment where possible.
