Job summary

SK Food Group in Cleveland, TN is seeking a Packaging Technician I on first shift. You will operate production machinery, perform setup, adjustments, and film/ribbon changes, and ensure correct packaging components and labeling.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, with preferred technical/mechanical certificates and at least 6 months of related experience. Safety, food safety, and regulatory compliance are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; Certificate from accredited college or technical school in Mechanical studies is preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Read electrical and mechanical drawings; read equipment manuals and diagrams.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery and troubleshoot when needed.
• Set up and operate the machine within safety practices and time frames.
• Perform setting adjustments and film/ribbon changes including dye changes.
• Ensure products have correct components before packing and verify labels, seals and dates.
• Complete required documentation before each run and monitor for downtime.
• Communicate with Supervisors and Leads on shift situations.
