Job summary

ofi North America (Olam Food Ingredients) seeks a Mechanic III in Bayonne, NJ to maintain and repair machinery, conveyors, and production equipment. The role requires 5–7 years of maintenance experience, ability to read schematics, and proficiency with electrical/mechanical systems.

You will operate safely under GMPs and work in a non-exempt, safety-sensitive environment. The candidate must have own tools and be prepared for a fast-paced setting, including weekend overtime.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 5–7 years of maintenance mechanic experience.
• Experience with MRP/CMMS preferred.
• Certifications such as Welding, Journeyman Machinist, Boiler Training preferred.
• Knowledge of production processing and quality control measurements.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical schematics to locate components.
• Perform preventative maintenance and changeovers as needed.
• Troubleshoot complex electrical breakdowns and repair mechanical systems.
• Maintain equipment including motors, conveyors, and production-related gear.
• Follow GMPs, safety policies, and use PPE.
