Job summary

Monti, Inc. is seeking a Material Handler to efficiently move, store, and track materials in the warehouse and plant environments in Cincinnati, OH. You will operate a forklift, assist with product routing, and help maintain orderly workstations in a high-paced setting.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, forklift certification, and prior warehouse or shipping experience. Safety, accuracy, and teamwork are essential as you support production and logistics operations

Responsibilities

• Operate forklift safely with awareness of surroundings and pedestrians.
• Multitask to fulfill requests in a timely manner.
• Identify delivery areas and route materials to correct warehouse locations.
• Coordinate with Maintenance for equipment repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Move products around the warehouse using forklift and maintain 6S standards in all workstations.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Supervisory Responsibilities

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities

• Operates forklift in a safe manner while being aware of surroundings (ex. pedestrians, other forklifts, equipment).
• Multitasks to fulfill all requests in a timely manner.
• Identifies and locates the correct areas to deliver products in the warehouse.
• Keeps all material handling equipment in the best condition by calling the Maintenance Team for repairs and regular preventative maintenance.
• Moves products around the warehouse using forklift.
• Maintains 6S (sort, set, shine, standardize, sustain, safety) standards in all work stations.
• Completes other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Preferred Education And Experience

Physical Requirements

• Uncontrolled environmental conditions: noise, dust, dirt, and mobile equipment.
• Routine, repetitive lifting up to 35 lbs., occasional, heavy lifting, and pushing / pulling 10 lbs. regularly, 1 to 10 hours per day.
• Any combination of standing, bending, climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, reaching, handling, feeling, and walking 8 to 10 hours per day.
• Ability to work up to 8-10 hour shifts and overtime as required by the work.
• Use of all limbs, dexterous and steady use of hands and arms for long periods of time.
• Simultaneous mental and muscular coordination, visual and audio awareness of surrounding area.
