Job summary

Merit Brass is seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor, 1st Shift, at our Richmond Heights, OH location to lead production teams and drive efficiency. The role emphasizes safety, coaching, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has a strong work ethic, good communication across departments, and a willingness to learn and grow with Merit Brass. Training is provided to develop new skills and advance within the company.

Qualifications

High School diploma or GED required or equivalent.
Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience and/or training.
Ability to demonstrate leadership and analytical problem-solving abilities.
Strong communication across departments and levels within the company.
Knowledge of OSHA regulations is preferred.

Responsibilities

Leads, manages and coordinates activities of associates in production.
Communicates labor hours, shift schedules and daily workload scheduling.
Performs performance reviews, coaching, mentoring, and development.
Participates in interviewing, hiring, performance improvement and disciplinary actions.
Serves as a resource and answers questions to clarify work activities.
Relates policies and procedures to team members and ensures updated information.
Maintains accurate production entry reflecting department activities.
Aims to achieve production metrics: on-time delivery, accuracy and customer service.
Supports inventory accuracy and on-time product delivery.
Willingness to work overtime and take on additional duties as assigned.
