Job summary

Yetter Manufacturing is hiring a Janitor responsible for cleaning, disinfecting, and maintaining breakrooms in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will sweep, mop, and restore cleanliness across assigned areas, with responsibilities including trash removal, restroom sanitation, and stocking supplies.

The role emphasizes safety, independence, and physical activity, with overtime as needed. This is an on-site first-shift position supporting clean and safe working conditions.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Previous janitorial or related experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to work at Macomb or Colchester and rotate locations.
• Ability to operate a mechanical floor sweeper.
• Ability to read and interpret instructions, labels, hazard symbols.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening.

Responsibilities

• Sweep, mop floors, dust assigned areas.
• Empty and dispose of trash.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms.
• Clean microwaves and maintain breakrooms.
• Monitor and stock restroom/breakroom supplies.
• Report maintenance or repair needs.
• Operate a mechanical floor sweeper in production areas.
• Respond to emergent cleaning needs, including areas contaminated with body fluids.
