Power Services Group is seeking a skilled Manual Machinist to join our team in Oswego Township, IL. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in machining and experience operating manual equipment, reading blueprints, and verifying tolerances.

You will machine high-precision parts, measure with micrometers and gauges, and follow safety procedures while maintaining a clean workspace. This full-time position offers steady hours, overtime as needed, and benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a manufacturing machining environment preferred.
• Proficiency with measuring tools and close tolerances.
• Ability to read blueprints and metric measurements.
• Mechanically inclined with the ability to follow written instructions and procedures.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willingness to learn and work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Machine complex, high-precision parts for equipment repairs.
• Calculate dimensions and tolerances using micrometers and gauges.
• Machine parts to specifications using lathes, milling machines, shapers, and grinders.
• Evaluate procedures and recommend changes for improved efficiency.
• Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management.
• Maintain work area and equipment in a clean, orderly condition and follow safety procedures.
• Perform mechanical work as required, including assembly and disassembly.
• Manage and organize own work while remaining a team player.
