Job summary

Woodward is seeking a 1st shift Machinist in Loves Park, IL to set up and operate CNC and manual machines, producing precision metal parts. Work hours are 7:00am–3:30pm, Monday–Friday, with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Eligible candidates will perform first piece inspections, read blueprints with GD&T basics, and maintain lean processes using 5S. Woodward offers extensive benefits and a supportive work environment.

Qualifications

• Basic set up and operates multiple CNC or Manual machines to produce precision parts.
• Following established procedures for supporting operations.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and GD&T basics.
• Use inspection gauges to ensure quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC and manual machines to specifications.
• Perform supporting operations per established procedures.
• Conduct 1st piece inspections and training as needed.
• Follow detailed work instructions to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain 5S and cleanliness; keep workstation organized.
• Support safety protocols within the team.
