Job summary

Dover Precision Components in Houston, TX is seeking a 1st Shift Machine Operator to set up and operate machine tools including compression molding presses, blenders, ovens, and routing machines.

You will follow job orders for dimensions and tolerances, position tooling, and verify parts with micrometers or calipers. Prior shop experience is preferred; maintain a clean, safe, organized work area in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to measure parts using micrometers, calipers or other measuring tools.
• Prior shop or mechanical experience desirable.
• Clear communication and organizational skills with attention to 5S standards.
• Must follow safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates machine tools such as compression molding presses, blenders, ovens, and routing machines.
• Follows job orders for product specifications, tooling instructions, and equipment settings.
• Moves controls to position press and work piece, and verifies conformance to specs.
• Observes operation and maintains safety and cleanliness in the work area.
