Job summary

ITW, a Fortune 300 global manufacturer, is seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st shift in Charlotte, NC. You will perform basic setup and operate metal forming equipment to produce to quality specifications, maintaining safety and efficiency.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and manufacturing experience; you should be able to read drawings, use measurement tools, work in a team, and lift up to 50 pounds. Competitive pay and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or six months related experience.
• Manufacturing experience preferred (set up, operate, changeover).
• Able to read drawings and specification sheets.
• Teamwork and safety-focused mindset.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Follows safety and housekeeping practices on the line.
• Assist with setup and operation of metal forming equipment, plasma cutters, saws, coating, and spot-welding equipment.
• Maintain production rates while ensuring quality and low scrap.
• Monitor machine performance, gauges and outputs per instructions.
• Perform quality checks and document results per SOPs.
