Job summary

Burger Boat Company is seeking Welders/Shipfitters to perform certified aluminum welding (MIG/TIG) across skill levels 1–4, in shop or on boats. You will read drawings, prep welds, and support fitters, with emphasis on safety and quality in a dynamic shipyard environment.

Opportunities to advance through levels, learn new skills, and contribute to hull and superstructure fabrication are offered, with a benefits package and weekly pay as part of a collaborative Metal Fabrication team.

Qualifications

• Read and write in English.
• Use decimal or fractional tape measure.
• Physical strength to perform work standing, bending, squatting, kneeling and climbing.
• Willingness and ability to learn new jobs and take instructions.
• Be flexible and willing to work various shift schedules as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic setup and weld preparation (cleaning, grinding, material handling).
• Read and interpret simple blueprints, drawings and welding symbols.
• Assist senior welders with equipment setup and material positioning.
• Complete basic documentation (time, job numbers, simple QA forms).
