First-Shift Inspector & Packer

Job summary

ALTOR is seeking an Inspector Packer in the Molding department to perform production, inspection, and packing tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards. The role reports to the Production Supervisor and is non-exempt under FLSA.

Responsibilities include packing products, inspecting for defects, keeping a neat work area, and entering data into ERP systems. The position requires the ability to lift up to 40 pounds and work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 3–6 months of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Must be able to read, write and understand basic math.

Responsibilities

• Removes product from conveyor belt and places product into drying racks, boxes, or bags.
• Packs product into drying racks, boxes, or bags.
• Uses heavy-duty tape machines to cut tape and wrap product for storage delivery.
• Lifts and moves completed boxes or bags to pallets or designated areas.
• Receives and follows product descriptions and packing instructions on quality/production data sheets.
• Performs visual inspections and uses measuring devices to ensure acceptable quality.
