Job summary

UFP Industries in Janesville, WI is seeking a Forklift Operator I to move material between inventory, production, and finished goods, while keeping accurate records. You will support production, maintain clean inventory yards, and follow safety policies in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include assisting with bottlenecks, performing basic maintenance on equipment, and completing production records.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• Forklift driving experience preferred but not required.
• Working knowledge of basic math and inventory techniques preferred.
• Successful completion of Forklift Driver licensing process.

Responsibilities

• Move material in process between stations as needed.
• Band, wrap, pack finished goods and label material.
• Move finished goods to inventory yard or warehouse.
• Assist production with bottlenecks and material needs.
• Provide general preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Complete pre-shift startup equipment checklist and report issues.
• Keep rough material and finished goods inventory yard organized and clean.
• Complete production records as required.
• Follow forklift rules and Company policy.
• Participate in safety, CI and other programs and meetings.
• Perform other duties as required.
