Job summary

Actalent is hiring for a 1st Shift Quality Control Technician in Chicago, IL. This contract role centers on evaluating finished products against specs in a food-manufacturing setting, logging results in the I-Series system, and supporting GMP compliance. Training covers shift coverage and adherence to safety procedures.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED with substantial related experience, plus strong English communication and data-entry skills. Overtime and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED with 12 years of related work experience.
• Ability to use quality control analysis equipment.
• Experience in food manufacturing quality is preferred.
• Fluency in English reading, writing, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate finished products for quality and acceptability per specifications.
• Perform all required quality analyses and tests for each product.
• Communicate quality issues to production, QC leadership, shipping, and customer service.
• Log analysis results and batch information in the I-Series (AS400) system and maintain records.
