Job summary

Abbott-Label in Itasca, IL is seeking a Press Operator to produce printed objects using assigned printing machinery. The role requires staging Flexo presses with materials and tooling for efficient workflow, running presses to complete jobs, and assisting with quality control in the pressroom.

The position follows a 6:00AM - 2:30 PM, Monday through Friday schedule. Experience with Mark Andy printing equipment is a MUST, and prior narrow web printing is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with Mark Andy printing equipment – A MUST.
• Experience in Narrow Web Printing Industry preferred.
• Vocational/technical school training preferred; on-the-job training provided.
• Previous related experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operates various types of printing machines.
• Reviews client requests to understand scope and parameters of print jobs.
• Determines quantities required for print job.
• Aligns and configures machinery.
• Inspects random production samples to evaluate quality of printings.
• Troubleshoots issues with printing machine and makes basic repairs.
• Performs routine maintenance on printing machines.
• Drafts and submits reports for daily production totals.
• Maintains a clean area around printing machinery.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job Summary:
