Job summary

Steel Technologies LLC in Ghent, KY is seeking a 1st Shift Crane Operator to perform overhead crane operations and move materials across the shop floor. You will inspect equipment, ensure secure loads, and comply with customer standards during daily duties.

Responsibilities include crane inspections, loading/unloading, locating materials, transferring to machines or storage, and reporting safety or quality concerns to supervision.

Qualifications

• Experience operating an overhead crane.
• Knowledge of crane operation protocol.
• Ability to use tape measure and micrometer.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and up to 25 pounds frequently.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily crane inspection and documentation
• Operate overhead crane & forklift to transport materials
• Locate material based on production information
• Move material from machines to packaging and storage areas
• Remove and replace components as needed
• Communicate safety concerns to supervisor or shift lead
