Job summary

State Steel Omaha is seeking a CNC Saw Operator in Omaha, NE. You will read blueprints, set up and operate saw equipment, and maintain production quality in a fast-paced plant environment.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean work area, following safety procedures for forklifts and cranes, and performing routine preventative maintenance. You will collaborate with teammates to maximize efficiency while meeting quality standards.

Qualifications

• Must read and interpret blueprints, tolerances and specifications.
• Proven measurement and math conversion skills required.
• Experience distinguishing aluminum, steel and stainless steel.
• Strong team player with reliability and accountability.
• Trained forklift and crane operator preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean machine and surrounding area.
• Maintain production levels to meet supply and demand.
• Work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and focus on tasks.
• Collaborate with team to maximize productivity and efficiency.
• Load/unload materials, final products, and packed items manually or with hoist.
• Set up blades and change them as needed.
• Follow safety requirements for forklift, crane, and saw operations.
• Load infeed tables with material and remove finished goods from outfeed tables.
• Perform preventative maintenance as required.
• Understand and operate CNC machine controls.
• Monitor and adjust sawing variables to meet specs.
• Ensure output parts meet quality requirements.
• Arrange work area for efficient production runs.
