VSS CNC Inc. is seeking a skilled First Shift Operator to set up, program, and monitor CNC processes, ensuring quality and efficiency in Greenfield, MA. The role requires attention to GD&T standards, blueprint interpretation, and precise measurement with calipers and micrometers.

Qualifications

• Proven experience operating CNC machines in a manufacturing or factory environment.
• Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and precision measurement instruments including calipers and micrometers.
• Ability to work on the shift schedule reliably.
• Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine settings; strong problem-solving skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate CNC machines with proficiency, ensuring accurate and efficient production of complex parts.
• Conduct routine inspections using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify part dimensions against GD&T standards.
• Collaborate with team members on tooling setup, fixture adjustments, and process improvements to enhance productivity.
• Follow safety protocols rigorously, including proper use of hand tools, safety guards, and factory safety procedures.
