Job summary

Acme/Davenport in Loves Park, IL is seeking a Cam-Driven Multi-Spindle Operator for the first shift. You will operate cam-driven multi-spindle screw machines, verify parts with precision gauges, and document counts and quality checks.

Training is available for candidates familiar with Davenport, New Britain, Wickman, or Greenlee machines. Ideal candidates have 3+ years of screw machine experience, expert blueprint reading, and a strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of screw machine operating experience.
• Ability to interpret blueprints, drawings, and standard work.
• Hands-on skill with calipers, micrometers, and precision gauges.
• Attention to detail, dependable attendance, and strong work ethic.
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machine and production issues.
• Team-oriented mindset with the ability to work independently when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate cam-driven multi-spindle screw machines to meet job specs and work instructions.
• Watch the process closely and make adjustments to maintain quality and throughput.
• Perform in-process inspections using precision measuring instruments.
• Document production counts and quality checks clearly and on time.
• Handle basic preventative maintenance and report issues quickly.
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and collaborate with production and quality staff.
