Job summary

UFP Industries in the United States seeks an Assembler I to fabricate component parts or assemble finished products per customer specifications. You will secure parts and supplies needed for the operation.

You will set up work areas, fit parts per instructions and quality standards, operate hand tools, and stack or label components as required. You’ll keep the area safe and clean, maintain records, and adhere to safety protocols.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.
• 6 months of manufacturing and assembling experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of basic math preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Completes work area setup.
• Fits parts together in accordance with instructions and quality standards.
• Operates hand tools to complete the assembly process.
• Stacks completed products and may cover, label, and band components.
• Maintains a safe, clean, and organized work area and ensures equipment is safe to operate.
• Completes pre-shift startup equipment inspection and reports problems.
• Maintains production records as required.
• Checks materials and finished products for standards compliance.
• Performs duties per safety and quality procedures and participates in programs.
