Efficient Computer seeks its first dedicated security leader to define and implement security policy and hands-on controls across code, compiler toolchains, and hardware designs. You will own identity, access, and IT operations as the company scales, collaborating with engineering architecture and the Head of Legal and Compliance.

• 7+ years in information security, founding or sole security owner.

• Design and enforce protections for source code, compiler toolchain, and hardware designs (classification, encryption, storage).
• Own the access model across engineering systems: repository permissions, credentials governance, access reviews.
• Establish controls for sensitive data under third‑party confidentiality obligations.
• Build and maintain evidence that we protect trade secrets.
• Secure developer-heavy environments and tailor hardening for engineers.
• Own detection, logging, and incident response; write playbooks.
