Job summary

Avera Granite Falls Hospital is seeking a PRN Emergency Medical Technician support role. The position involves driving the emergency vehicle or acting as a secondary patient attendant under an EMT's direction, with a focus on safety and high-quality patient care.

You will respond to calls promptly, maintain clinical skills, and support a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must meet licensure requirements and be able to work varied shifts.

A Brief Overview

Accountable for basic life support service under the direction of an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and makes emergency response calls in accordance with the established state standards and following standing orders and department protocols.

• Carries out all functions within scope of practice in a confident, high-quality and safe manner.
• Demonstrates sound judgment in stress situations and provides emotional stability to patients and affected individuals.

• Maintains technical skills within expected standard of practice.

The individual must be able to work the hours specified. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job function satisfactorily including having visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand and distinguish speech and other sounds. Required Education, License/Certification, Or Work Experience

• Drivers License - Licensing Board Upon Hire and
• Emergency Medical Responder - Minnesota Emergency Medical Services Regulatory Board (MEMSRB) An active license in the state of practice Upon Hire
