Job summary

Foster Farms in Fresno, CA is seeking a dock loader to handle loading and unloading of chicken products, move shipments on the loading dock, and ensure accurate sorting by code, price, and master order number. You will verify quantities with a scanning gun and work in a cold 28ºF environment.

This full-time role requires good communication, reliability, and the ability to stand for 8–10 hours on a concrete floor; you must be able to lift 65 lbs or more and operate basic computer tasks to manage

Job description

• Responsible for loading/unloading of chicken products to and from trailers, and product movement on the loading dock
• Product is sorted by code, pre-price, and master order number
• Verification of quantity and product code is performed by using a scanning gun held over the product code on each box
• Help maintain/improve quality and food safety, to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements

Shift Hours: 10:20PM - 6:20AM (Varies)

Qualifications

• Good communication, interpersonal skills, and work well with others
• Read and write numbers, good math skills, and communication skills. Able to identify problems with labels, scan guns, rider pallet jacks, and forklifts
• Able to work in 28ºF cold environment
• Must be able to stand or walk for prolong periods of time (8-10 hrs) on a concrete/metal grate floor
• Must be able to show computer knowledge in order to deal with incoming and outgoing trucks
• Must be able to life 65LBS+
• Maintain management standards
