Job summary

Foster Farms is hiring for a loading dock role in California. The role involves loading and unloading chicken products from trailers and moving them on the dock. Products are sorted by code, pre-price, and master order number, with quantities and codes verified by a scanning gun.

Ideal candidates communicate well, can perform basic math, and work effectively in a cold (28F) environment. Ability to lift 65 lbs and stand 8–10 hours is required.

Shift HoursL 7AM - 3PM (Varies)

• Responsible for loading/unloading of chicken products to and from trailers, and product movement on the loading dock
• Product is sorted by code, pre-price, and master order number
• Verification of quantity and product code is performed by using a scanning gun held over the product code on each box
• Help maintain/improve quality and food safety, to ensure compliance with company quality standards and USDA regulatory requirements

Qualifications

• Good communication, interpersonal skills, and work well with others
• Read and write numbers, good math skills, and communication skills. Able to identify problems with labels, scan guns, rider pallet jacks, and forklifts
• Able to work in 28F cold environment
• Must be able to stand or walk for prolong periods of time (8-10 hrs) on a concrete/metal grate floor
• Must be able to show computer knowledge in order to deal with incoming and outgoing trucks
• Must be able to life 65LBS+
• Maintain management standards
