Job summary

All Aviation Jobs in Anchorage is seeking a qualified pilot to join our flight team. The role requires ATP minimums, a valid medical, and the ability to pass DOT background checks and drug screens. Multi-engine experience and Saab 2000 SIC familiarity are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Thorough working knowledge of equipment operated and relevant FAA regulations, and company manuals.
• Plan flights according to weather info, reports, company policies and FAA rules.
• Perform all duties the captain may assign in flight.
• Delegate tasks to other crewmembers only when command of the aircraft is assumed due to PIC incapacitation.
• Maintain required certificates and documents for flight.
• Apply CRM principle of “Assertiveness with Respect.”
• Pursue ongoing professional training to upgrade performance.
• Follow the Sterling Airways Team Member Handbook rules of conduct.

Duties And Responsibilities

These shall include, but are not limited to the following:

• Responsible for having a thorough working knowledge of the equipment operated, Federal Aviation Regulations governing the operation of this equipment as well as the Company’s manuals, policies and other instructions.
• Responsible to the captain for the proper planning of the flight in accordance with all applicable weather information and reports, applicable Company policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Performing all duties the captain may assign in flight.
• Delegating functions to other crewmembers only when command of the aircraft is assumed due to incapacitation of the PIC.
• Possessing required certificates and documents appropriate for flight performance.
• Employing CRM concept of “Assertiveness with Respect”.
• Continuing the professional training toward upgrading their performance and abilities.
• Observing the Rules of Conduct for all employees as outlined in the Sterling Airways Team Member Handbook.
