  • Operates injection-molding machines safely and efficiently.
  • Operates secondary or auxiliary equipment.
  • First line of defense for the quality of the part.
  • Assemble components according to established procedures and quality standards.
  • Measures or evaluates the finished product according to customer specifications.
  • Guided by Work Instructions to assure proper: Removal from the mold.; Positioning of fixturing to prevent distortion; Degating or trimming using appropriate tools; Performs gauging operation; Packaging of products.
  • Inspect finished products to ensure they meet quality control standards.
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues that may arise during the production process.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain accurate records of production activities and report any issues or concerns to supervisors.
  • Document inspections according to customers’ specifications, when required.
  • Assures material is in the hopper of the molding machine.
  • Assures grinding occurs for recycling.
  • Advise Supervisor of unsafe conditions.
  • Initiate preventative actions.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisor to meet production goals and deadlines.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

QUALIFICATIONS (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)

  • American Plastic Molding recommends a High School Diploma or GED.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with hand tools and power tools.

  • Basic math skills and ability to perform measurements accurately.
