Job summary

Granite School District is seeking a First Grade Elementary Teacher for a one-year assignment at Granger Elementary. The teacher will implement proficiency-based learning and maintain positive classroom environments for grade-level students.

Responsibilities include planning lessons, differentiating instruction, and integrating technology. Candidates must possess a valid Utah teaching license or be in process, with an ESL endorsement preferred and readiness to meet SB 241 requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a Utah State Board of Education approved cleared criminal background check.
• Requires a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
• Requires a valid Professional Educator License for the State of Utah.
• Must meet or be willing to meet the Utah Science of Reading requirement (S.B. 241).
• ESL endorsement preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach the core content area(s) outlined in the USBE Core Curriculum, and adopted by the Board of Education.
• Develop lesson plans and instructional materials and provide individualized and small group instruction.
• Utilize effective teaching techniques to translate lesson plans into productive student learning experiences.
• Utilize computers and other educational technology in instruction.
• Supervision of students includes indoor and outdoor responsibilities in all weather conditions.
