Job summary

Wayne County Schools Employment Network is seeking a Long Term Substitute - First Grade for Chapman Elementary School. The assignment runs September 2026 through December 2026 (about 12 weeks), with a daily wage of $150 for long term assignments and reporting to the Building Principal.

Requirements include 60+ college credits; Michigan Teacher Certificate preferred; prior teaching or guest teaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• 60+ college credits required.
• Valid and Current Michigan Teacher Certificate preferred.
• Previous teacher or guest teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, implement and document high quality instruction, assessments, and interventions to meet the needs of all students.
• Honor and carry out district initiatives and curriculum.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, colleagues, and administration.
• Participate in a Professional Learning Community by collaborating with teachers and specialists.
• Integrate technology effectively in daily instruction.
• Maintain consistent attendance and report to work on time as expected.
• Attend all meetings required for this position.
• Complete assigned tasks, reports, and other requirements on time.
