Job summary

Irving Independent School District is seeking a dedicated Teacher to deliver high-quality instruction in core subjects and support student growth across multiple developmental areas. The position emphasizes planning, data-driven decision making, and collaboration with support staff to meet diverse student needs.

The teacher will implement engaging lessons, monitor student progress, and maintain professional communications with parents and administrators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required for teaching assignment.
• Valid Texas teaching certificate for the subject/level.
• Completion of Texas Reading Academy required for Elementary.
• ESL supplemental certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for the curriculum program assigned and show written evidence of preparation as required.
• Present the subject matter according to guidelines established by TEA, board policies, and administrative regulations.
• Access and use available data to plan and implement instructional strategies reflecting needs of students (gifted, bilingual/ESL, 504, etc.).
• Collaborate with special education staff to modify curricula per IEP guidelines.
• Cooperate with staff to plan and implement instructional goals and methods per district requirements.
• Plan and supervise assignments for teacher aides/volunteers in the classroom.
• Use appropriate technologies to strengthen teaching and learning.
• Maintain safe and productive classroom environment.
