Job summary

Ingalls Shipbuilding, a division of HII, is seeking a First-Class Electrician to bring our ships to life by laying out, installing and repairing shipboard cables, lighting and electrical systems powering weapons and combat systems.

This role requires at least 4 years in commercial/industrial/marine electrical work, a High School Diploma, and the ability to read marine drawings and blueprints. Expect shifts and a strong safety culture at America’s Shipyard in Pascagoula, Mississippi.

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of experience in the commercial, industrial or marine electrical field.
• Read and interpret marine drawings and/or blueprints utilizing both metric and standard measurements.

Responsibilities

• Layout, installation and repair of shipboard cables, lighting, and electrical equipment.
• Work with hand and power tools, test equipment, and blueprints; adapt to shipyard shifts.
• Maintain safety procedures meeting or exceeding industry standards.
