Job summary

GreatLIFE Golf Prairie Highlands Golf Club in Olathe, Kansas is seeking a full-time, hourly First Assistant Golf Professiona to join our team. Under supervision from the Head Golf Professional, you will supervise facilities and staff and assist with daily operations within the golf department.

You will promote golf activities, assist with tournaments, and help promote club memberships while maintaining excellent guest relations and service standards.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree; six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Supervises the Golf Shop and assists Head Golf Professional in overseeing other staff members of the Golf Operations.
• Ensures that effective orientation and training are given to each new associate.
• Attends functions or meetings in the absence of the Head Golf Professional.
• Oversees junior programs and clinics.
• Handles inventory control including receiving, marking, ringing sales, and monthly inventory.
• Controls the tee sheet.
• Oversees preparation for golf outings: scorecards, cart labels, rules sheets, score sheets, format sheets, favors, pairing sheets and hole assignments.
• Collects all guest and cart fees.
• Develops relationships with the membership and golf with them.
• Oversees outside service staff: scheduling, staging area, practice facilities, golf cart storage.
• Promotes and sells golf shop merchandise.
• Club repair.
• Maintains understanding of membership categories, sales processes and new member enrollment.
• Assists in preparation of monthly membership reports for GM and owners.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Ability to read and speak English as needed for duties.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of property management system.
• Regular and reliable attendance.
