Job summary

Spring View Regional Hospital in Lebanon, Kentucky, is hiring a First Assist, Certified for the OR. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, full time.

The role requires CSFA, CST credential or eligibility, BLS within 30 days, and at least 6 months of scrub tech experience. You will collaborate in a fast-paced surgical team and deliver safe patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma (or equivalent) and graduate of an Accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential (or eligibility to obtain within a specified timeframe).
• Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• 6 months of on-the-job experience in a healthcare facility.
• Knowledge of sterile techniques, surgical procedures, and instrumentation.
• Strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication skills.
• Demonstrates strong critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Performs effectively in a fast-paced, stressful environment.
• Takes appropriate action in urgent or high-pressure situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the operating room as a Surgical Scrub Technician.
• Maintain sterile technique and assist with instrumentation.
• Support CSFA-certified team in surgical procedures.
• Communicate clearly with team and contribute to patient safety.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols.

How you'll contribute

Applicants should have a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and Graduate of an Accredited program for Surgical Scub Technicians. Additional requirements include:

• Certified Surgical First Assist certification required
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross (ARC) required within 7 days of hire

Experience

• One or more years of experience as a Surgical Scrub Technician with CSFA certification required
• Specific knowledge of surgical procedures required
• Extensive communication skills, team building skills, surgical assisting and instrumentation skills required
