Job summary

Gunstock Mountain Resort in Gilford, NH seeks First Aid Base Attendants under the direction of the Ski Patrol Manager to promote safety for guests and staff.

You will assess patients, triage, and provide first aid, assist in transport decisions, and follow CPR guidelines, Lift Evacuation Procedures, and the resort's Emergency Response Plan. This is a seasonal role from December through April; weekends, nights and holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• National Registry EMT-Basic certification with a current NH Providers License, along with a current CPR (BLS) certification.
• Experience in medical or ski area settings is helpful.

Job description

Under the direction of the Ski Patrol Manager, Gunstock First Aid Base Attendants shall help promote the safety of Gunstock's skiing and snowboarding guests. First Aid Base Attendants are committed to providing quality, empathetic care for injured/ill guests and/or employees at the resort. Responsibilities include, but are not to; attend to patient evaluation, triage and provide appropriate first aid; aid in transport decisions for injured guests and/or employees; maintain a strong working knowledge of the department CPR guidelines, the department Lift Evacuation Procedures, and the resorts Emergency Response Plan to provide support when needed. Position is scheduled early December through early April. Must be available to work weekends, nights and holidays.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• National Registry EMT-Basic certification with a current NH Providers License, along with a current CPR (BLS) certification. Additional medical or ski area experience helpful.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee must be able to remain in a stationary position 30% of the time; constantly able to multitask, operate radio controls, answer incoming phone calls, while triaging, providing medical aid, and maintaining a clean working environment.
• Required to lift/move equipment, tools, and materials weighing up to 25lbs regularly, up to 50lbs frequently, and up to 100lbs occasionally. The employee is frequently required to lift and move patients with assistance.
• Required to move about the resort to access injured/ill guests and/or employees; at the direction of the dispatcher/supervisor to administer first aid or emergency services.
