Job summary

Apple Inc. is seeking a DevOps-minded engineer to contribute to the AMS firmware validation platform and CI/CD that builds, tests, and validates Mixed-Signal IP firmware from static analysis through hardware-in-the-loop testing.

You will own and extend the CI/CD platform end-to-end, operate self-hosted runners, onboard silicon platforms, and grow the validation lab as a product to speed diagnosis and release quality across firmware toolchains.

Qualifications

• BS degree in technical discipline with minimum 10 years of relevant experience.
• DevOps/infrastructure background: designing and owning CI/CD pipelines and shared engineering infrastructure, with an automation-first mindset.
• Strong Python for CLI tooling, orchestration, and system integrations against APIs, webhooks, and service accounts.
• Hands‑on experience operating self-hosted CI/CD (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar): pipeline design, runner administration, job orchestration, and debugging failures at the infrastructure level
• Proficiency with Git and the ability to integrate disparate build, test, and reporting services into one coherent pipeline.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to drive cross-team triage and keep stakeholders aligned.

Responsibilities

• Own and extend the CI/CD platform end-to-end — from static analysis and unit tests through simulator-based testing, coverage, and hardware-in-the-loop silicon testing — plus the dashboards and reporting that make results actionable.
• Operate and harden the self-hosted runner fleet and toolchains — SDK/compiler/simulator versioning and the packaging and release flow that ships the platform to runners.
• Onboard new silicon platforms into CI/CD: extend configs, build/test matrices, and the low-level hardware integration that makes a new chip testable with minimal one-off effort.
• Grow the validation lab as a product — make changes to test stations safe, reviewable, and automated instead of manual, one-off edits.
• Drive deep, cross-stack triage and root-cause across the firmware toolchain, simulators, runner OS/SDK regressions, and silicon test, and build the triage tooling that speeds diagnosis for the whole team.
• Develop and maintain firmware test cases and tooling on development boards and shipping products — including hands-on setup of test-station hardware (connecting boards and devices, cabling, and bring-up) — partnering with firmware and QA teams to improve test coverage and release quality.
