About the role

Sibros’s Deep Connected Platform is the world’s leading solution for full vehicle over-the-air software updates, real-time data collection, and remote diagnostics. The technology stack is designed to scale to millions of vehicles and to be deployed on any vehicle architecture including scooters, motor cycles, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and more.

The firmware software department at Sibros focuses on the in-vehicle software stack, developing highly reliable software that can be easily deployed on a wide range of hardware, operating systems, and vehicle architectures.

The firmware solutions team is responsible for working with partners and customers to integrate our products into their hardware and vehicles. This includes gathering requirements, creating proposals and documentation, deploying and integrating our in-vehicle software, developing custom solutions, supporting customer issues, and more. As a senior member of the team you will be responsible for leading key integrations with customers, providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, and solving complex and impactful problems for customers, partners, and Sibros.

What you’ll do
  • Lead deployment and integration projects of our in-vehicle software for partners and customers.
  • Be the technical point of contact for in-vehicle software on key customer accounts.
  • Engage with customers and partners to ensure successful product integration through gathering requirements, creating proposals, deploying the products, developing solutions and reference designs, managing expectations, providing training, and resolving issues.
  • Design and develop customized integration applications in C and C++ to meet customer requirements.
  • Create reference designs, application notes, training material, and other technical documentation.
  • Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to create plans, identify risks, triage issues, and deliver on schedule.
  • Triage reported issues and bring issues to closure by merging code directly to the firmware repository.
  • Validate solutions by testing on hardware.
  • Improve the quality of the Sibros products by providing user feedback to product teams.
  • Travel to customer sites to support key stages of the deployment and integration.
  • Identify and execute on code, design, and process improvements to improve our products and accelerate deployments.
What you should know
  • BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science.
  • 3+ years of experience developing embedded software and interfacing with customers.
  • Expertise interfacing with customers and delivering complex software solutions.
  • Proficient in embedded C++ programming on resource constrained systems.
  • Experience developing for Embedded RTOS, Linux/POSIX, and/or Android systems.
  • Experience working with modern software development methodologies and tools (Agile, git, unit testing, static analysis, code review, CI, MISRA C/C++, etc.).
  • Proven track record of leading and delivering projects in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
  • Great team player with excellent verbal and written communications skills.
  • Experience mentoring team members, performing documentation and code reviews, and advocating for development best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with C++ and Python.
  • Familiar with automotive networking and protocols (CAN, Ethernet, UDS, SOME/IP, DoIP, etc.).
  • Experience with IoT technologies and concepts (MQTT, HTTPS, security, OTA software updates, telemetry, etc.).
  • Experience with the following collaboration and development tools: Bazel, PC-Lint, Git, JIRA, Confluence, Google Test.

Salary details

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $130k - $155k + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum range for new hire salaries across all U.S. locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Please note that the compensation details listed in U.S. role postings reflect the base salary only and do not include equity, benefits, or any discretionary bonus components.
