Job summary

Ultipro is seeking a Firmware Manager to lead a team of embedded firmware engineers responsible for designing, developing and testing firmware for energy-efficient heating, cooling, and IAQ products. You will drive high-level strategic plans, manage schedules, and coordinate multi-functional teams to ensure timely product delivery and ongoing support for legacy systems.

The role requires expert embedded C skills, 8+ years in firmware development and 3+ years in a leadership capacity.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of embedded software development experience.
• 3+ years in a leadership role (project or people manager).
• Expert level in embedded C for electromechanical devices.

Responsibilities

• Lead the firmware team to ensure delivery of new products and support of legacy products.
• Manage the embedded software team and resources; 5 FTE with 3 FTE contractors.
• Develop and manage project schedules for product launches or design modifications.
• Coordinate cross-functional work with other departments to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Perform design reviews, bug fixing, issue resolution, and code reviews.
