Job summary

OnLogic is seeking a firmware co-op to join the Firmware Engineering Team in Cary, NC (onsite) or South Burlington, VT from January to June 2027. You will work with firmware engineers to develop firmware and software infrastructure for multiple CPU/SoC architectures and motherboards.

This is a full-time 40 hours/week position at $22/hour, with a background check required. The role spans concept, development, prototyping, validation and toward volume production, emphasizing hands-on work at the

Qualifications

• Undergraduate student pursuing a BS in CS/CE/EE returning for 1+ semester.
• Understanding of software/firmware design with C and Assembly.
• Experience using basic development tools to troubleshoot software/hardware interactions.
• Familiarity with Linux or Windows environments.

Responsibilities

• Identify firmware requirements with product design.
• Perform bare metal firmware development.
• Port RTOS and develop device drivers.
• Develop firmware build/test/release infrastructure.
• Assist with continuous improvement of development processes.
• Support product certification and issues.
