Job summary

Nudge is hiring a firmware engineer to join our team in San Francisco. You will develop high-quality, safety-critical firmware in C, C++, Rust, and Verilog for real-time embedded systems powering brain-interface hardware.

You will help shape hardware architecture, implement on-device algorithms, perform bringup, and collaborate across electrical, mechanical, and software teams while ensuring regulatory documentation is prepared.

Qualifications

• Strong engineering / physics first principles
• Degree in electrical engineering or computer engineering
• Proficiency in Rust, C, C++, Verilog
• Demonstrated history of exceptional technical contribution
• High integrity and strong professional judgement

Responsibilities

• Deliver safety-critical C, C++, Rust, and Verilog code for real-time embedded environments
• Contribute to embedded hardware architecture decisions
• Implement on-device algorithms for stimulation and imaging
• Bringup and debugging of embedded systems
• Collaborate with hardware and software engineers to design embedded systems
• Contribute to documentation and regulatory-compliance analysis
